A Beach Vacation in Australia

The southern hemisphere boasts some of the most
fabulous beaches in all of the world. If you~re
taking a vacation to Australia you~ll have plenty of
beaches to choose from. Whether you~re looking
for surfing, sun tanning, water sports, or socializing,
Australia has the best beaches for you.
If you~re looking for a little rest and relaxation head
to the town of Durras. Durras is located
approximately three hours south of Sydney. The
beach here is straight out of a travel magazine.
White sandy beaches and turquoise waters make for
a peaceful day at the shore. Swimming and surfing
are excellent here, or take a canoe ride along the
coast. There~s also stunning rainforests in this area
with beautiful vegetation and rare tropical birds.
The quiet town of Durras is also a wonderful place
to spend the night.
South of Durras Beach is another famous beach that
you~ll want to check out. Long Beach is famous for
its calming waters which are great for swimming
and jet skiing. This is a great beach to take the kids
since the smooth waters are perfect for them to
paddle in on a hot Australian day.
Bateman~s Bay is the perfect beach destination for
water sports or just lounging at one of the seaside
restaurants. This exciting tourist destination is
located approximately 150 kilometers south of
Canberra, which is Australia~s capital city. Some of
the water activities here include fishing, jet skiing,
canoeing, and swimming. The beaches are perfect
for working on your tan as well. Be sure to head
into town and check out some of the many
fascinating souvenir shops. You~re sure to find a
little seaside treasure of your own.
Another great beach for children is Surf Beach.
The waters here are fairly calm so it is great for
swimming, but you can also do some body
boarding on the waves. Keep your eye out for the
dolphins which frequently visit this area, it~s a
great treat for everyone to see.
With so many wonderful beaches to choose from
you~ll have a hard time deciding where to spend
your day. Make sure that you leave plenty of time
in your travel schedule for lounging on the beaches
of Australia. Make sure that you bring along plenty
of sunscreen since the blinding sun will soon cause
your sun to burn.
